"How the Pandemic Has Changed Our View of Ethics and What Social Workers Need to Know."

Alberta Health Services and the University of Calgary Faculty of Social Work are pleased to continue our Social Work Grand Rounds series with world renowned bio-ethicist Kerry Bowman, clinical ethicist at Toronto's Mount Sinai Hospital, and Assistant Professor with University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine.

This 90-minute, online presentation has the following objectives:

• Provide an overview of what ethics really are and how they guide decision-making.
• Explore the shifting landscape of individual rights vs the collective good.
• Review the social work profession’s duty to care in the divisive Fourth Wave.
• Explore the topic of health equity and considerations for social work practice.

The final 15 minutes will be devoted to Q&A.
