The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the biggest health emergencies of our time. To fight the spread, and flatten the curve, O'Brien Institute members are exploring a provincial breakdown of when and where the virus is spreading, and comparing Alberta’s data to what is happening elsewhere in the world, all through the lens of different public health interventions in various jurisdictions. This information is being used to inform Calgary's response to the pandemic.
On March 27, researchers will present their findings publicly for the first time during the premiere of the COVID-19: Anatomy of a pandemic digital forum. This forum will showcase the work O'Brien Institute members, and the wider University of Calgary community, are doing to support authorities and governments in their response to the unprecedented scale of, and human cost exacted by, the COVID-19 outbreak.
