Bombus nevadensis!

01:14:24
How tall should we leave the stems of our plants if pruning in the fall.

01:15:24
How can you prevent damage to the habitat in the spring when you get the garden work started?

01:16:07
I have a lovely messy yard, with lots of snags, native plants, etc. But, I don’t have a lot of caterpillars! I just saw two butterflies this year and only a couple of plants that have been chewed on. The plants look healthy and I have a good variety of plants. I’m wondering if light pollution is a problem or living near a busy highway?

01:16:50
How much of a problem are bee/wasp allergies in human habitats such as cities?

01:19:38
Can you define “late spring”?

01:19:59
I missed the best flowering plants because I arrived late (sorry), do you have a list?

01:20:04
Thank you Mindi and Jennifer for the excellent talk, wondering whether their are better leaves than others to be leaving on the lawn, we have a ton of ash trees, are they great for pollinators.

01:21:26
I struggle with Scotch thistle on our farm. We hand weed b/c I avoid all 'cides'. One evening as the summer nights were cooling I noticed a myriad of wild bees tunneling into the blooms for the night. So I started leaving the blooms up for them and tried to capture the seed pods later. Can you speak to scotch thistle and its relationship to bees? I am trying to be at 'one' with this beast of a plant

What about grasses; I have quite a few in planters that come back each year- most people cut these back but is this an issue for pollinators ( ie not providing them a place to use in the winter)

01:27:03
Brilliant! Thank you Jennifer

01:28:33
