Bravo! I think it depends on the education systems of different countries.. Social work is very vast subject, because it covers the huge aspects of the society.. theory is not much helpful without practice it.. So yes there should be opportunities for social work students to deal with mental health problems, disability, etc.. thank you so much for interesting topic!
